The bride who ordered this custom color wedding puzzle sent me two photos. One showed a blue tuxedo vest, the other a green pashmina shawl. I matched the colors and added her personal details to the puzzle. After she approved the colors I cut the puzzle.
Every green letter or shape you see is an individual puzzle piece. The blue background is cut into 60 pieces large enough for wedding guests to sign.

This recently cut wood wedding puzzle (guest book) has 39 pieces plus letters and numbers. The wood is 1/4″ birch plywood. I make these natural wood wedding puzzles with 20 to 160 pieces. With no picture for a guide, and both sides of the puzzle being identical, ALL of these natural wood puzzles are tricky. They take longer to assemble than my Color Wedding Puzzles or Photo Wedding Puzzles.

Today I’m showing one of last week’s Tree Wedding Puzzle orders. The couple’s initials “D + P” are carved into the trunk of a tree-shaped natural wood puzzle. This puzzle had over 30 pieces.

The clients took this photo themselves. Isn’t it cute? They requested two puppy shapes and their initials for the puzzle. See more about my photo wedding puzzles here.

This is a Photo Wedding Puzzle I created for a client two weeks ago. Like most of my clients, she’s going to use it as a guest book at her wedding. Guests will sign the back of the puzzle pieces. You can read more about my photo wedding puzzles here.

Visitors to my BellaPuzzlesToo shop will find a third type of wedding puzzle now. They come in custom colors. The first color is the background, and the second color is used only for the special names, dates, or shapes in the puzzle.

My first order was for apple green letters on a hot pink background. Vibrant!
Clients who choose these custom color wedding puzzles can decide if they want guests to sign the front or back of the puzzle pieces. The client who purchased this green+pink puzzle opted for white pens to be used on the hot pink pieces.
It will be fun to show some of the other color combos I’ve been asked to create.
Let me know in the comments how you like these new puzzles.

These two must be dancers. Just look at the dynamic photo they selected for their custom photo wedding puzzle!

*I snapped the photos of the finished puzzle. Chicago-area wedding photographer Steve Koo took the original photograph.

These are some of the puzzles I cut during the last week. There were six wedding puzzles and one small puzzle with a vintage Santa Claus image.
One of the wedding puzzles was actually for a couple celebrating their anniversary. The wife purchased the puzzle as a gift for her husband. She requested a blank, tree-shaped puzzle with 20 pieces, two of which were to be a heart-shaped and a girl-shaped figure piece. I drew the tree freehand.
Another puzzle was a 15″ x 21″ wedding puzzle with about 150 pieces using a bride and groom’s wedding invitation as the image. I won’t show the completed puzzle – to preserve their anonymity – but I can show the couple’s initials and the three mice and three martini glasses that went into the puzzle as figure pieces.
Their wedding theme is “Haunted Victorian Mansion,” and the bride and groom chose an invitation with a black/gray/white color scheme, heavily scrolled borders, and crows. The bride custom-ordered a stunning silvery gray handcrafted dress with black trimmings from a dress-maker in England. It all sounds fabulous. I wish I could attend this wedding!
A third wedding puzzle was a 12″ x 18″ 50-piece black and white photo puzzle. It showed the bride and groom’s feet dangling off a dock over water. The bride requested an oak leaf and a maple leaf as figure pieces for her puzzle.

The last puzzle shown here is the little 3.5″ x 5″ vintage Santa puzzle. I’d advertised this with a proposed 25 pieces, but my piece size is getting smaller all the time so this particular puzzle ended up with 42 pieces. I employed color-line cutting wherever possible.

I sell holiday puzzles and other art puzzles in my BellaPuzzles shop on Etsy.
